The Clarendon Hills Community Caucus is pleased to endorse the following candidates for the April, 2021 election:
Village Trustee – 3
Megan Lazar
Taps Gallagher – write-in
John Jaeger – write-in
Library Board – 5
Anupam Goel
Valli Gupta
Margo Jablonski
Kateri Quinonez
Jennifer Swanton
Park Board – 2
Robert Callan
Lara Fetzer
We applaud the above endorsed candidates for stepping forward to run for office and serve our community over the next 4 years.
When the initial candidate search for Village trustee yielded only one candidate for the three positions, we remained optimistic that the sense of community Clarendon Hills is known for would prevail, and qualified candidates would step forward to serve our village. We were not disappointed.
With that in mind, we would like to acknowledge the following individuals who stepped forward as write-in candidates when word spread of the initial challenges presented in completing the Village Trustee slate:
Michael White – write-in
Meredith Lannert – write-in
Allyson Russo – write-in
We look forward to returning to an in-person format where we can continue to increase community participation in the Caucus, and build a better future for our community together.
I grew up in nearby Darien, and my husband and I moved to Clarendon Hills in 2017 with our two children. I graduated from Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana, and I went to DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. Since 2018, I have focused my law practice on residential landlord/tenant law and related legal issues.
I am proud to be a part of this tight-knit community of Clarendon Hills. We have been active members of Notre Dame Parish since 2017. My husband and son are involved in Clarendon Hills baseball. We love this town and the friends we have met along the way. If elected, I plan to serve with a level-headed approach and always make decisions in the best interest of the community.
Taps Gallagher has lived in Clarendon Hills for 33 years. He is married for 36 years, 3 daughters, ages 31, 30 and 25. Taps works as a self-employed attorney. He holds a Bachelor’s degree, St. Mary’s; Master’s degree, St. John’s University; J.D., Loyola University. He has previously. been elected to the Clarendon Hills Village Board, 2001-2005. Mr. Gallagher is also served on the Clarendon Hills Zoning Board, 2010-2015; Police Advisory Board to build new police station, 2001-2003; former Parish Council member, religious education instructor, usher, Notre Dame Parish; PADS.
John Jaeger and his wife, Constance, moved to Clarendon Hills in 1993. They have raised 4 children, the last a sophomore in college. Despite being quasi empty nesters, they plan to remain in the village. John has volunteered for many organizations, including The Lions Club, Notre Dame Men’s Club, Notre Dame Church, Prospect School, and Clarendon Hills Middle School. He also served on the Clarendon Hills Economic Development Council (EDC). John has been employed in the Chicago commercial real estate industry since 1992.
We'll hope to add more info soon.
